Solvability of some problems in fluid mechanics: Is weak really weak?

Abstract:

We discuss some recent results concerning solvability of certain equations describing the motion of inviscid fluids. Some multiplicity results as well as criteria to enforce well-posedness of these problems will be proposed. The relevance of the weak solutions in numerical approximations will be also discussed.
